Refund and Dispute Policy

1. Platform Fees

Campaign creation fees ($20 per campaign) are non-refundable once a campaign has been published and made live on the platform. If a campaign was never published due to a technical error on our part, a full refund will be issued within 5–7 business days.

2. Peer-to-Peer Donations

Honest Need does not process or hold peer-to-peer donations. All donations are sent directly from supporter to campaign creator via third-party payment apps (PayPal, Venmo, Cash App, Zelle, Chime). Honest Need has no ability to reverse, retrieve, or refund these transactions. Supporters should contact the campaign creator directly for donation-related disputes.

3. Share Reward Budgets

Share reward budgets are non-refundable once distributed to sharers. Unused share budgets may be refunded within 14 days of the initial deposit, minus the 20% platform processing fee, upon written request to jbowser727@gmail.com.

4. Sponsorship Payments

Sponsorship payments are governed by the individual sponsorship agreement signed at the time of purchase. Refund eligibility depends on the terms of that specific agreement. Contact us at jbowser727@gmail.com to discuss your specific situation.

5. Mission Fund Donations

Donations made directly to Honest Need's mission fund (via PayPal, Venmo, Cash App, Zelle, or Chime) are considered voluntary gifts and are non-refundable, as they are used immediately for community outreach activities.

6. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund on campaign creation fees or unused share budgets, please send an email with the following:

  • Email: jbowser727@gmail.com
  • Subject Line: "Refund Request — [Your Name] — [Order/Transaction Type]"
  • Details: Include your name, email, transaction date, amount, and reasons.
  • Response Time: Within 3–5 business days.

7. Disputes and Chargebacks

If you believe an unauthorized charge was made, contact us immediately at (209) 622-9391 or jbowser727@gmail.com before initiating a chargeback. We will work to resolve the issue directly. Fraudulent chargebacks may result in account suspension.

8. Changes to this Policy

Honest Need reserves the right to update this policy at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
